Adam Lehrer/Safety Propganda This is my favorite album of the 2000s. I’ve listened to it thousands of times. I got into it at the peak of my heroin addiction, and the sickly sadness of perpetual withdrawal was accentuated by its poetic misery. A collision of avant-garde outsider music with redneck rock n roll and gloomy post punk but infinitely more than that description would suggest. Favorite track: Dead End.

Severed Foot Mascot Heartbreakingly sad, slightly abrasive, trippy and completely beautiful this is by and far the least extreme music I listen to but it gives me such an extreme reaction. Favourite track: Dead End
